About Angela Pirrone:
As an accounting professional with over 29 years in the accounting industry, mother of 4, and strong advocate for helping others reach their fullest potential, I know what it takes to get the job done. I understand the importance of good financial health, which starts with accurate numbers. Over the years I have worked hard to develop relationships of trust and dependability with my clients and always go above and beyond for them. My staff and I have been helping clients on the North Shore of O‘ahu and throughout the Islands of Hawai‘i for the past 15 years and have worked with all types of businesses from the start up out of the garage, million-dollar corporations, non-profit organizations & trusts to sole proprietors who grew too fast and had years of backlog and unfiled taxes. We specialize in setting up customized, paperless, QuickBooks accounting systems, designed to meet the individual needs of every client. My goal has always been to provide the best service possible and to teach my clients how to reach their goals thru organization and good habits, which ultimately lead to good financial health.
The Evolution of Kama‘aina Bookkeeping Services
I started Kama‘aina Bookkeeping Services (KBS) on the North Shore of O’ahu in 2006 as a part-time way to earn $ working from home to be more available for my (at the time) 2 young daughters. The need for GOOD bookkeepers and accountants was greater than I anticipated and KBS quickly grew into a full-time job. In 2008, KBS hired its first employee and I welcomed my 3rd daughter. In 2010, I welcomed my 4th daughter and in April of 2011 a tragic accident occurred which handicapped my youngest daughter and threatened the future of KBS. That same year, KBS incorporated and hired its 2nd employee, my assistant, who allowed me to focus on the care of my daughter while keeping KBS thriving. By 2015 KBS grew into a business with 6 employees and over 100 clients throughout the State of Hawai‘i.
Unfortunately, the medical care available to my handicapped daughter was limited in Hawai‘i and by 2017 she outgrew the care available to her. My ‘Ohana and I came to Colorado in late 2017 to access the specialists and continuous medical care needed. I had to rethink and pivot KBS into an online, remote business. Little did I know that in 2020 COVID-19 would sweep the world and force most businesses online and to work remotely. Having a head start and an edge in the online and remote world, KBS is now a leader in working securely and efficiently, solely online. We have been able to transform KBS into a business where location does not matter, only relationships built, quality of service and the success of our clients do.
Let my team and I help you get organized and on track to good financial health and reaching your fullest potential.
~The meaning of Kama‘aina~
Kama‘aina means Hawai‘i resident, regardless of racial background. Anyone who has called Hawai‘i home knows a deep love and connection to the Islands. My husband, Chris, was raised on the Big Island. Although not native Hawaiian “Kanaka” he loves the Islands as if he were. Chris and I lived together on the North Shore of O‘ahu for almost 20 years where we raised our 4 daughters until having to relocate for our youngest daughter’s medical care. Hawai‘i will always be our home and a part of us. Being Kama‘aina and seeing how so many have been forced to move away from the Islands, it’s become our mission to spread the Aloha and represent all Kama‘aina; past, present, near and far.
